These last 10 days and the beautiful people of India are proof that despite living on opposite sites of the world, speaking different languages, believing different religions, and living extremely different lifestyles that we are all one people created in the image of God. It showed me more than ever the pure joy that can come with simplicity and the worth of every single individual. Words can’t express my gratitude for this unforgettable experience, my incredible team members who are now great friends, the immense knowledge I gained, and the generous love constantly poured out to us by these people despite their material poverty. Here’s to the first of hopefully many more successful medical mission trips! Namaste, India! – Amanda, Team India Volunteer

On first glance we found kids with smiling faces, dancing in true Indian style for the medical volunteers. On examination the medical volunteers found cracked feet from no shoes, parasites and infections from living in dirty close quarters, poor nutrition from not having enough food and water and tears in our eyes for the children that sleep on “mats,” if you can even call them that, on the concrete floor. I imagine my cousins, my siblings and myself in similar circumstances…It makes me sick to even think about it and then you look at their faces in complete wonder of how beautiful and resilient they are. – Megan, Team India Volunteer
