Tunisia Medical Aid

Simultaneously, IMR was delivering medication to refugee communities along the Tunisia-Libya border and assessing the living conditions with one of our partner organizations. The majority of these camps are merely transitional camps, and conditions are relatively stable.

These valuable medical supplies were enough to treat a community of 50,000 people. The life saving medical aid was quickly put to work to help those patients in great need. “We saved lives. Without these necessary medicines, patients in these communities would have lost their lives” states Shauna King, Founder and President of International Medical Relief. “I want to provide hope to these people for a better future”, explains King, and humanitarian relief in the form of life saving medicines is one of the most effective ways to help.

The Libyan people were very grateful for the shipment, and to have the support of an international relief organization. The spokesman for the Provisional National Council personally thanked us for the humanitarian assistance.
