Kenya Medical Mission Trips —

For a country of its size, Kenya is certainly a microcosm with mountains and deserts, colorful tribal lineages and orphanages, cities and informal settlements, and some of Africa’s best wildlife attractions. It has stunning landscapes that set each scene.  Its rich and unique culture is attributed to the Kenyan people all who are uniquely identified with their own particular tribe, yet 98% are Africans by heritage.  Kenya has the one of the world’s highest HIV/AIDS infection rates, is continually threatened with a high malaria risk and communicable and infectious diseases.  IMR continues to treat patients throughout Kenya.

Our community health education programs have a strong emphasis on HIV/AIDS, malaria and infectious disease education and prevention.  From communities on the northern most Somalia border, to communities along the western and southern borders and working around Nairobi in various large communities, slums and small orphanages, IMR has treated thousands of patients all over the country of Kenya.  Our clinics have included minor surgical, general medical, dental and oral surgery, extensive pediatric care, and dermatology care and wound management.

IMR has also provided extensive vaccination clinics to thousands of patients, and we strive to vaccinate, as many children as possible in remote rural communities were vaccination campaigns are not active.
