International Medical Relief recruits all volunteers, medical and nonmedical. It takes everyone’s participation to run a successful clinic. Nonmedical volunteers are put to work helping with the community and the medical staff. There are many roles in clinic and everyone is welcome, whether it is a family member, friend or others interested in serving abroad, everyone’s position is of value. As a nonmedical volunteer you will work side by side with the medical team throughout the clinics as well as build relationship with the community. All participants are also asked to participate in community education classes. We provide you with a variety of topics or you can choose your own topic to teach a class to the local communities on a topic that will help build and strengthen the people through health and wellness. Often IMR also has a variety of programs that nonmedical volunteers can assist with. These include education, agriculture, building projects and more. All with the objective to help improve the overall well being of the local communities.
