At IMR, we want to extend our support and best wishes to all the health care workers who are affected by COVID-19 around the world. Our medical community has been greatly impacted, and we express our sympathies and support to them, as well as our other families, friends, patient communities, and peers who are in the medical and mission industries around the world. Like other natural and manmade disasters that IMR has assisted with over these past two decades, this is a challenge that we will overcome and, as a result, become more resilient.
We remain committed to the communities we serve and to your volunteer experience. While we have faced circumstances beyond our control, vigilant measures were taken to postpone several March and April trips. Please look after yourselves and your families as you stay safe during this time. The kindness and understanding of our volunteers has been overwhelming and we appreciate your support.
Now, more than ever, we are united together with our hosts and determined to help the communities we serve. We are preparing for the future as we always do and working here at home to help where we can now. We have gone to great lengths to enhance our personal protective protocols and clinical operations. We have a collective opportunity to show our support to the global communities that have also faced similar health challenges and usher in a new era of global health care and sustainable education. Help in this recovery effort by supporting IMR and our communities. We remain confident that in the upcoming months we will be back more united than ever engaging in provider and patient partnerships, showing kindness, and saving lives.
We can’t wait to welcome you back! Together we are stronger. Together we can save lives. Join us.
